  1. First problem:

I cant seem to install codecs. I had to uninstall the codecs for a reason I dont care to explain, and now the Nimo codec wont install properly. Also, I cant download the codecs using Windows Media Player, but I am pretty sure thats because my internet connection has been crapping out lately. Well, I think I can do that now, and maybe restore my old codecs.

But the problem with that is that my video files were playing upside down. When I burned them as VCD, they worked fine. What should I do... and what is the best way to go about installing codecs? It would help if you gave me links to the exact codecs I should download, along with the best order to install them but just telling me what to do would be okay.

    Second Problem:

I downloaded the 4th Band of Brothers episode today. I tried to open it, and I got an error with WMP; it said it didnt recognize the file type (it was an avi file). I figured it was just some problem with WMP, so I opened it with Virtual Dub to extract the audio. Well, I started the exatraction and it gave me an error also... a ram allocation error, or something. Well, I assume the file is corrupted, because the rest of my avis play correctly (tho upside down; see problem 1). Is there a way to fix a corrupted file or am I going to have to download it again, and hope it works? Also, in the properties screen, it said it was a mpeg-3, which I havnt had experience with I dont beleive.

    Please help!

  2. Okay, I just let Windows Media Player download the codecs I needed for the .avi movies. Well, if I install the Nimo codec pack (which I need for my DBZ episodes) ALL of my files play upside down.

You guys are supposed to be the experts, comon please!
