  1. hi guys, this problem is quite long so bear with me.

After converting my avi to SVCD with TMPG, the mpeg is tinged pink.
The movie i'm trying to convert has subtitles that i'm frameserving to TMPGENC using Avery Lee's Virtualdub filter.

When I convert just the avi without frameserving, the video is perfect. No pinkiness is evident. But only when I frameserve through virtual dub the pinkiness occurs.

ive tried everything, read through all the posts in the forum as well as the guide on this site, tried changing the priorities in VFAPI. I have nimo codec pack 5 beta 8 installed, even installed/uninstalled that numerous times. The avi is flawless too.

The computer i'm doing it on is my brother's PIII 700.

Is it a codec problem? hardware problem? - as the video card isn't too good, but the movie plays back on the monitor perfectly so i doubt its that.

This is the confusing part. As a test i tried to convert the mpeg in

exactly the same way on my PII400 with Nimo beta 8 installed as well. Guess what? no problems. The avi without subs works fine. when subtitles frameserved through tmpgenc using virtual dub, no pink tinges.

i just don't understand what im doing wrong. My video card by the way is an NVIDIA Geforce MX440.

Sorry about the long post, but i felt i should give as much information as possible.

    Any help would be aprreciated.

  3. Read the site's FAQ, more specifically about the Angel Potion Codec.

  4. The link u posted says:

"Uninstall Angelpotion, the Angelpotion codec pack messes up everthing so get rid of that and install either the original DivX codec or the Nimo Codec Pack."

I didn't have the Angelpotion codec, I had the NimoCodec installed and
still got the pinky pic. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the NimoCodec Pack
5.08 several times, only after using the smr patch the pinky pic has gone,
it patches the mpg4c32.dll and mpg4ds32.ax in C:\windows\system\

The latest nimo codec pack seems to have the same problem as the angel pack. But I have heard users with lots of problems with the smr codecs also...
