  1. I have a low bitrate divx movie. the spec:
    352*240
    29kb/s
    DivX5.0

i'm going to encode it to VCD. any suggestions on the best way to go about it?

i live in a pal country and so will need to resize it to 352*288. i know i'll have to letterbox it rather than perform an actual resize.

i will use AVISynth (or possible vdub) to frameserve to tmpgenc. but rather than just encode the video, i had suggestions of using filters - such as smoothen and sharpen filters. but which filters exactly should i use and what would be reasonable values to use (for either AVISynth or vdub)?

any help please, i'd just like to know any filters and the values to go with them that are recommended for encoding low bitrate divx movies to VCD with either AVISynth or VDub.
