  2. what OS?? Set Smartripper to use Aspi . You might also (If you have win2k or XP) need to install Forceaspi to add an Aspi layer.
I am Using Win2k and a Pioneer 114 and I get speeds of 6x-7x (using ASPI)

  4. hi, i have another suggestion if you don't have aspi correctly installed on your computer. I'm using Win98SE with aspi not correctly installed but i usually just copy the folder 'Video_TS' from the dvd onto my hard drive and then use smartripper to select the Video_TS folder and then rip it. I usually get over 10X speeds and i usually just wait about 7 minutes for the copying of the folder onto my hard drive.

  7. You can use Nero DVDspeed to test your dvd-rom speed. If it is slow then you should get a new one.
