I have a slight echo on a avi that I conver to vcd with TMPGenc. The Avi is 1.68 gigs (huffy codec). I captured it using virtualdub and my dazzle usb. I had to leave it at 15 frames per sec, Because if I try a higher frame-rate or a different codec, it gets outta sync. So how do I eliminated the echo from the encoded file? I tried to demux the audio and turn it to a wav but I still get the same results.

Have you encoded audio in joint stereo? Try plain stereo instead. It helped me.
