Which HD did you format - was it the windows drive/partition? If so, the some of your setting might now be default.

If you right click the volume icon on the task bar, you should be able to see the volume controls. Is record control set to 'Line In' and at half volume?

And under the audio tab of VD, you've got full processing, AVI audio, no conversion and no compression?

By any chance are you using a version of Windows that's pre 98-SE? If so, you'll need to do some dicking around that I haven't quite figured out much. All I know is that you can fix it by changing crossbar settings, but that only works with native WDM programs (VirtualDub, etc. are VFW). I have the same problem with my TV Wonder VE running under 98 first edition (second edition fks up my comp, so it's out of the question). Is there anybody with any experience with this problem?

  14. The cables are OK.
I can listen to the audio when VD is running. When I tried to encode with TMPGENC, it couldn't find the audio file.
AM using W2K and not recording in 5.1, just plain stereo.
    Any suggestions.
