Ok folks here's what I got; I was backing up my DVD and I use a process that may seem strange but works for (most of the time).
1. Demux DVD into *.m2v and .ac3 files.
2. Use CCE if required.
3. Use Maestro to author.
Problem: Moive that is 16:9 only plays as 4:3.
Does anybody have a solution![]()

Open the all the ifos in ifo edit and change both the aspect as well as the other thingy that escapes me, it says like auto letter box or something like that.
There are 2 places to do this near the top of each ifo, if you change them all you should be golden. -
When authoring in Maestro you have to make sure you tell Maestro that the video stream is 16:9.
If you open the window that contains the movie timeline, at the bottom there are small parts of the window that contain the speed of the stream in FPS and the aspect ratio eg:
29.97 FPS 4:3
Click on the 4:3 one and change it to 16:9 LB/PS. That should do the trick.
If you've already compiled the project as the above post states you can use Ifoedit to change it. -
Please also note that you need to choose the correct aspect ratio in CCE as well. It is shown in the "MPEG 2 Video settings" as "DAR 4:3" and "DAR 16:9".
