    how do i remove blocks in dark parts of movies using TMPGenc? I want to convert it to VCD but the output has a lot of blocks in dark parts.

    In MPEG settings, under the Quantize Matrix tab, is there a check beside "Output YUV data as basic..."? I found my movies have slightly less blockiness if it's turned off, but I guess it depends on the source.
