  1. I have videos her e which were encoded in svcd using dvd2svcd
    I try to open them in tmpgenc to change the size etc, but tit refuses to recognise the format- it says " file cannot be opened or format unrecognised"

    Plz help

    As quoted off the TMPGEnc Home page:
    New dedicated VFAPI Plug-in to read MPEG-2 files included. This operates decoder through DirectShow if one of the following MPEG-2 decoder is installed.
    * CyberLink
    * Ligos
    * Sony
    You need to have at least one of these MPEG-2 codecs installed on your system in order for TMPGEnc to recognize the file.

    Under the VFAPI plugin tab in "Enviromental Settings" raise the directshow priority all the way to the top to a value of 4 and see if this helps.
