i know this has been posted b4...i have a slow speed ripping with Smartripper..
i have a 16x toshiba 256 ram amd-750mhz.
the speed goes about 2x max....
can someone tell me why =0

if you know this was posted before, why didn't you read or contribute to that post?

1) Set drives to DMA (Dont ask how, search for the answer via here, the net and usegroups)
2) Use a UDAM IDE cable
Mine jumped from 1.6X - 2.0X max to 2.5X - 6.5x max

The toshiba sd-m1502 dvd drive is limited to 2X dvd video reading within the firmware. Thats why you cant rip any higer than 2X.
