    I am getting a cd writer so I can put my home movies on cd as vcd or svcd. I may in as well export them to video using print to video in premier 6. Do I hook up my camcorder dv300 (not dv300i) there is no dv in.. only out, to the firewire card,then connect the Svideo lead from the camcorder to the video or have I got it completely wrong? Please help I am new to this.

    you have it wrong .. print to video requires DV firewire or a tape transport type control (like ussually sony 422 is most common) ..

    otherwise it will play the video full screen on your monitor
