Alright, I just bought a Western Digital 80G 7200 RPM ATA100 HD. I figured this would be fine as my capture HD. After installing it on the 2nd IDE channel(odd case design and short cables prevented me from using the primary for both) and tested my machine. I captured over 30 minutes of video without a single dropped frame. When I played it back in Premiere, it looked great, then started to glitch as my old HD was thinking... I made sure everything was on the new 80(relating to the video) but the old 10G still wants to think, which kills the video.
Is there a solution to this? Both drives are runing in mode Ultra DMA, both are derfaged... I know it's not the computer as it worked fine with my previous tests, when I only had the 10G in it...

I THINK I fixed it...but I'm not 100% sure... Basically, I modified the case so both drives could be connected to one channel. So far, it seems to be doing great, even thought I hooked them into the secondary channel
