  1. ok...I have been encoding for awhile now using tmpgenc, but I would like to know..when am i supposed to use a program like avifrate? For which framerates? I have a file that is 14...fps , will this be ok to encode or will is be jerky playback? And if i am supposed to use avifrate...which i did from this file all it did was speed it up and left the audio the same. I know that you are supposed to use another program for the audio but i need some help on this as i have never done this before. When using avifrate am i just supposed to be changing the framerate field...as i know nothing about the other fields.

    Please help

First question: Why are you trying to do as a final goal? And secondly, why do you feel the need to adjust the framerate?

Use the templates available in TMPGEnc. If they still result in "jerky"(sic) playback, adjust the framerate up. encode a good sample, check it, repeat until it goes away.

On your computer you can play any framerate. 14fps may not be smmmooooth but it will play.

Don't try that on a VCD/svcd for a standalone player without converting to a standard rate of 25fps for pal or 29.97 for NTSC (some players accept 23.97 ntsc) otherwise it will be very jerky or may not even play at all.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

  6. Thanks for the replies...but i already have been using tmpgenc to convert it to 29 fps ntsc...and it plays with about a 1 sec lag...i was hoping to fix the problem before i convert with tmpgenc.

Why not use the TMPGEnc audio encoder (Setting-->Advanced tab-->Source Range-->Audio Gap correct) input?
    Hello.

  8. I guess i am not explaining myself correctly...the 1 sec lag is in the movement of the people...audio and video are on but there is like a lag with the movement...which i am told is because of the 14 fps ...when converting to 29.985 fps it cannont do it correctly...hence why i was going to try to convert to 29 fps sec first then encode..but if someone knows another reason why this could be happening i am open to any suggestions.
