I'm tring to convert a real media file to an avi. file so I can burn it as a vcd to watch on my dvd player. Problem I'm having is before Ican burn the video. After I've set up the file using TMPGEnc, and then I go to preview the file, the video is like in slow motion and the audio is out of sync. I tried using the Virtualdub program, but it is still the same. What am I doing wrong? I'm sure there is some simple step I'm missing. Can somebody please help me out? Thanks.

You mean when you preview the MPEG file prior to burning it to a VCD? First, the slow motion could just be your computer (if you have a slow CPU) the audio sync could be caused by a lot of things. I would encode the video and audio seperately then mux them together to generate the final MPEG file.
