    PLEASE HELP,
    IM IN THE UK AND AM THINKING OF IMPORTING A TOSHIBA PROJECTION TV BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF A U.S TV WILL STILL BE ABLE TO DISPLAY A PAL SIGNAL. -THX-

    THE MODEL IS: Toshiba 65HDX82

    I HAVE BEEN TO THEIR SITE BUT THEY DO NOT LIST IF IT IS PAL COMPATIBLE. JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF MOST U.S TVS CAN DISPLAY PAL FORMAT.

  4. My late 80's model tv does. I play both NTSC and PAL encoded vcds and they look fine for me. Maybe new tvs might be different.

  5. From what I gather from posts I read on this forum TV's available in the US aren't as compatible with PAL, as UK TV's are with NTSC. Almost all UK TV's are capable of displaying an NTSC signal, I dont think the same can be said for all US TV's displaying a PAL signal. You then of course also have the problem of the US using 115V while we in the UK use 240V. Although this can be overcome with a step down transformer. I think you need to make absolutely sure that particular set will display PAL
