I am capturing my vhs-c camera movies using my dc30 plus miro capture card,so far the quality is great, when I cut any part of the movie that I don't want I use VirtualDub,then before I "save as avi" I check the compression choices and I have a bunch of codecs to use,if I save using DC30+ codec I have a error,so I use the ohe that works, wich is a "uncompressed RGB" but I have a huge file, like 250mb file turn into a 4G file, can someone advice about other codecs that can be good for this purpose?
thanks.

Select direct stream which will allow you to save the cut video without reencoding-it's kind a like a cut and paste method for video. Depending on the file size and processor speed it still may take awhile to process the cut.
