  1. i was reading your ASF to AVI guide, and i tried it, but my Virtual Dub doesnt open ASF files, something about microsoft told them to get rid of it. my ASF files wont open in TMGENc either.

    any help please?

  2. In the TOOLS section find Virtual Dub under Simple editing, only joining and cutting, in the Description line you will find 1.3c version - this version accepts ASF files, you will need to save the opened ASF as AVI and then load into TMPGEnc.

  4. i just got this error when opening ASF file:

    the ASF file is 43868983 bytes long, but was originally 823 bytes when encoded. It may have been truncated or corrupted. Open file anyway?

    crash reason: FP Invalid Operation

  6. nah that didnt work either. I know that the ASF files are ok, cause i can open them in ASFRecorder.

    any other programs?

    asf can be read in tmpgenc if you put the directshow reader on.
    See option/environmental setting vfapi plugins.

    This can interfere with frameserving (or not finding audio in some vfw avi) so I usually set it off when I am done processing the asf or wmv file.
    There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
