menu making it skip?

hi all. does anyone know if putting in a menu will make a difference in if a movie will skip or not. the reason i ask is because,when i put in a menu screen i tend to get a few pauses here and there during playback.but when i dont use menu screen i tend to get less or no pauses/skips at all. anyone else ever seen or encountered this?

I'm having the same frustrating experience! If I burn this particular file without a menu, it plays fine. If I burn it with a menu, it skips.

I'm using Ulead DVD Movie Factory for authoring and burning. I've downloaded all the patches. It's funny because the first several CD's I burnt didn't skip at all with menus.
