  1. which is the best codec to use? I have used the M-JPEG codec and get 3.08gb for 32mins when I convert to mpg I get a mpg file of over 400mb anyone know how I can get smaller file sizes whilst keeping the quality?

  2. MPEG2 or DV MPEG2
    about 4G per hour then convert to VCD
    very good quality.

    with an mpeg2 card. it seems you don't have the disk space to do a capture with mjpeg@20 which gives really good quality. disk space usage is about 22GB an hour@480x480.
    mpeg2 is good but the quality is not quite the same as an .avi cap!
