I have a few PAL SVCD ready MPEGs. I can successfully burn these to disc and these discs play fine on PC's DVD drive using WinDVD but on my standalone DVD Player (Sony DVP-725) the audio is well out of sync and the picture has a tendency to break up.
I have made sure Nero is set to PAL for VCD - but this seems to have little effect.
Any suggestions???

It means that your DVD player cannot play the disk you're using, or the bit rate is to high. Try another CD-R or CD-RW brand. If that doesn't help, try lowering the bit rate of the video.

OK. I'm pretty happy with my media - works for everything else. So, where should I look to lower the bitrate. Its an SVCD ready MPEG so TMPenc doesn't recognise it.
