I don't know if this is a CCE problem or my computer.I installed CCE and encoded some movies. My first movie was 4 hours long and encoded to mpeg2. It only took 5 hours, yes 5 hours. I was like WOW. So, I fired up CCE and encoded some more. They were all blazing fast. But, when I encoded my 6th movie, it took 14 hours and it was only 2.5 hours long.

If you are using 2.66, many of the cracked version have a hell of a memory leak. I recommend closing out all pllications and seeing if it's still a problem, if so restart.

I tried out a few CCE versions and the results are pretty much the same.
Is this normal:
I have an AMD 1800+, 1 GB of DDR RAM and with CCE running VBR 4 pass and it takes about 14 hours for a 3 hours movie. When CCE is encoding the speed reads 0.874. Is it me or CCE is slow? -
Neither...you are running just shy of realtime. But at 4pass it would take a 3 hour movie 12 hours (3X4) to encoed. Really 4 pass is a waste. If your source is Clean (DVD rip) 1 pass will give equal visual results. and the file size isn't going to be that much bigger.
