  1. I don't know if this is a CCE problem or my computer. I installed CCE and encoded some movies. My first movie was 4 hours long and encoded to mpeg2. It only took 5 hours, yes 5 hours. I was like WOW. So, I fired up CCE and encoded some more. They were all blazing fast. But, when I encoded my 6th movie, it took 14 hours and it was only 2.5 hours long.

    So, what's up?
    Thanks for any reply.

If you are using 2.66, many of the cracked version have a hell of a memory leak. I recommend closing out all pllications and seeing if it's still a problem, if so restart.

  4. I tried out a few CCE versions and the results are pretty much the same.
    Is this normal:
I have an AMD 1800+, 1 GB of DDR RAM and with CCE running VBR 4 pass and it takes about 14 hours for a 3 hours movie. When CCE is encoding the speed reads 0.874. Is it me or CCE is slow?

  5. Neither...you are running just shy of realtime. But at 4pass it would take a 3 hour movie 12 hours (3X4) to encoed. Really 4 pass is a waste. If your source is Clean (DVD rip) 1 pass will give equal visual results. and the file size isn't going to be that much bigger.
