I'm trying to burn a VCD and I'm getting this error when it starts writing:
    [CDRDAO Write]
    Cdrdao version 1.1.5
    1,0,0: HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8240B Rev: 1.06
    Using driver: Generic SCSI-3/MMC - Version 1.2 (options 0x0000)
    Starting write at speed 10...
    Turning BURN-Proof on
    Executing power calibration...
    Power calibration successful.
    Writing track 01 (mode MODE2_RAW/MODE2_RAW)...
    Writing track 02 (mode MODE2_RAW/MODE2_RAW)...
cmd finished after 0.000s timeout 180s
    ERROR: Write data failed.
ERROR: Writing failed - buffer under run?
    ERROR: Writing failed.

my CDRW is "LG 8240B". I don't know what it may be, ASPI is installed correctly, everything is OK... I can burn with Nero with no problems.

Can I burn VCDs with VCDEasy without CDRDAO?? Cuz I don't see how...

110 views and not one single reply?

Is that such an impossible problem to solve? It's helpless?

  3. Untick the write box & make a name for your .bin file, now vcd easy will create .bin .cue files for you, then use nero to burn them, select burn image from the pull down menu & select the .cue file if you're running an older version of nero you will have to select all files to see the .cue file.

cdrdao on Windows isn't very good. It works (I use it all the time), but it's sensitive to other software trying to access the drives. In particular, Explorer or the Open/Save dialog can cause Windows to try to read all the drives at once, and cdrdao doesn't protect itself from that like native Windows software does (it's not necessary on UNIX platforms, which cdrdao was written for).

  5. Im A newbie.....but..... make sure generic mmc is in the box,,, u should
also check buffer underrun and possibly enable overburning.(depending on your burner/intentions)--u r using vcdeasy?-correct?

  6. i forgot .....after making necessary changes.. close vcdeasy, then reopen!

I have exactly the same problem but when i'm making SVCD's.
Tried force driver generic mmc and raw...But that didn't help.
It all started when i installed a newer version of vcdeasy 1.1.3...But i got the same error with the older version now...Haven't tried the solution with nero as Dreamvictim explained though...
Have you solved the problem ??
