  1. My Sony DVD player flashed C:13:00 When ever I load in a miniDVD and press play. If I insert a real dvd, play it, then eject it. Then finally load the miniDVD and press play C:13:00 will flash, but DVD will light up on the player. So my player can not read a miniDVD, but does the C:13:00 mean anything bad?

  3. Ahh thanks, but I found it. C:13 means the disc is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

I suspect your Sony is not capable of playing miniDVD. Very few players support it. It's an un-official format and it seems very unlikely that Sony, who's firmware adhere's rigidly to specs would play it. If it does please post your model number.

  5. As what wulf109 stated.

Furthermore, there is the likely possibility that your Sony DVD player (especially if it is an older model) doesn't like reading CD-R/W discs either...

You can do a simple test by burning an audio CD onto the same media type and seeing if that will play in your player.
