AYIEEE! I've been trying for days now to get screenshots of my avi movies. I've turned off hardware accelleration in wmp, but when i take a screenshot, all I get is a black bar where the movie should be. I have tried using different screenshot utilities, all to no avail. I've tried windvd, but when I push P, nothing shows up in my folders. Tmpeg won't open my avis, and virtual dub makes the screens all green when I slide through the avi. Could someone PLEASE tell me what I am doing wrong.

I Believe your playback software uses Overlay for some reason, and that's why you can't do a screen grab, have you tried using Paint Shop Pro ? i've used it and so far it works on almost anything.

Man, I tried that just now, but I still can't get any picture to show up. This sucks! Is there a reason maybe that won't let window media player get screenshots?
