I downloaded a Divx file and followed all of the instructions here http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm#audio to make it a VCD. The only error I had was at the end when I was burning it with VCD easy, but i looked up the problems section and it said select a Force driver so I did and everything worked fine. I can play the video on my computer, but I went to play it on a stand alone DVD player and it popped the disc back out and said disc error. Does it matter what type of CD-R you use, or is it just the DVD player?

  3. It sounds like your player wasn't designed for CD-R or CD-RW media.

Try burning an audio CD on the same blanks. Do they play properly?

If you not, you will have to try experimenting with different brands of CD-R/W media. In these cases, CD-RW often works better.
