    Hi experts,

after reading hunderts of hints and advices, I still have 2 pretty basic questions(I guess).
My project : I want to burn a downloaded DIVX Video file (Framesize: 576x304, 23.976 fps,41708 µsec)) to a (S)VCD, that I can play the film on the standalone DVD and see the film on the TV (PAL).

    Now the Questions:
    1. What should I choose, VCD or SVCD?
The Film source seems to be an NTSC film due to the 23.976 fps (VCD recommended).
But the framesize looks better 576x304. Can I go for SVCD?

    2. The film source is NTSC, do I have to convert it to PAL somehome(i.e. with TMPGEnc)? In the Conversion examples I learned that the source type determines the output format. (i.e. NTSC in, NTSC out)
The DVD Player does not tell, what he supports, but definetly PAL, as well the TV.

I am waiting for your genious answer?

Try ntsc svcd and see how it works cause most pal dvd players and pal tvs supports both pal and ntsc. If that doesn't work convert to pal.
