  1. Im usig avi2svcd (dvd2svcd)...
i want to make a svcd of a avi-file that i´ve downloaded... its a XVID, but it has not been a problem before... when i try to do this i get this messege from tmpgenc.:
"The resolution of the video is illegal.
    >The window size needs to be set between 8x8 and 4088x4088.
    >The with and height of window needs to be multiple of 8."

WHAT THE F**K DOES THIS MEAN... how do i solve this problem...

    i don´t want to use just tmpgenc to create a mpg, i want the image-files (bin´s & cue´s) that avi2svcd creats....
is there some other way to create image-files from avi´s than this way??

    PLEASE HELP!!

  2. It means that your Horizontal or Vertical (or both) resolution isn't a multiple of 8 (can't be divided by 8 ) which isn't a legal resolution. You need to resize your resolution (one way to do this is to add black borders) to the next legal size.

  4. With Virtual Dub:

    1) File->Open video file..., select your AVI, Open
    2) Video->Filters..., press ADD, select resize, press OK
    3) Type in the New width and New Height (must be a multiple of 8 ), in the Filter mode box select Precise bicubic, press OK, press OK again
    4) Select Direct Stream Copy under Audio and Full Processing Mode under Video, go to File->Save as AVI..., type in a new name for your AVI, press SAVE.
