    I have a problem ripping the Lord of the Rings DVD. It freezes every time it is in the middle of vob 4. I tryed Clad-dvd, dvddecrypter, and smartripper and they all did the same thing. What is wrong?

    Oh yeah, I don't have another dvd player so I can't try that.

    I had the same thing with my Philips DVDRW228. Ripping in a Pioneer 105 showed no problems.

    your DVD disk is defective not the software. some DVDroms are better at reading thru disk defects. Try ripping using someone's DVDrom.

    Ive ripped LOTR with DVD Decrypter all the way through no probs using a pioneer A04

    It was Pal (Europe)
