    Hello,

    I got my new cap card like a month ago and i werk during most of the hours that i wanna record...i was wondering if there was a program out there that would start and stop capturing, like timed recording or whatever...i can't find any settings of these sort in the ATI software that i was given...even if it's not freeware, i'm still interested

    If you capture in AVI, try Virtual Dub Timer. It ios in the Tools section at left.

    There are also some full featured desktop PVR programs, like Showshifter, Snapstream, and WinDVR that you should look into. The have EPG integration, so scheduling recordings is easier.
