Hi. I am trying to convert the Snow White DVD to XVCD using tmpgenc. This is my first animated film conversion and I am not sure what settings to use. I tried the way I normally do it but its all choppy. Do I need to apply one of the deinterlacing filters? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

i did this movie, but to SVCD.....this seems to be a hybrid movie, switching from interlaced to progressive frames continuously... however, the video type is 99% FILM...
so i don't think you would have any problem forcing film in dvd2avi and encoding as 23.976 fps + 3:2 pulldown (i'm not sure if xVCD supports this, but this is wut i did for SVCD).
yes, try using double (adaptive) or blend (adaptive) de-interlace filter depending on which version of tmpgenc you have. the lines should go away.
