Help! I have a dv camcorder, pinnacle studio dv software, and the firewire card. I am trying to make vcd, and svcd. I have successfully burned onto cd rw, and have been able to play back on the computer, however, I have not been able to play on 2 different DVD players. I just want to make sure that I am not missing a step. Right now, I am assuming that my DVD players are not compatible, or they do not like the brand of CD rw (tdk) When you open these burned discs on the computer, everything is in "folders" Is this a problem??? Thanks for any help.

It would help if you told us the make and model of your DVD players or look in DVD Players section to see if they're compatible with CDR/RW. And yes, everything SHOULD be in folders, it would be a problem if it wasn't.

The other thing you can do is to tell how you encode your file to mpeg1/VCD or you capture to mpeg1 in real time. And of course how you burn your VCD.
Be sure to use standard VCD setting either you use third party encoding software or mpeg1 real time capture.
