  1. Okay, in an attempt to fix the freezing problem I am having trying to convert a.wmv file...................I did what the "how to" section told me to do. Options->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in TAB

I right clicked On DirectShowMultiMedia File Reader, increased the priority to 1 then 2...............neither worked, but that's not my question. While doing this, I inadvertantly changed the settings on a couple of the other thingies. And ofcourse I didn't write down the original settings...DOH!!!!
So I'd like to know what the priority settings should be for the following:
(I'm converting to Video-CD NTSC using the default settings)

    AVI2(open DML) File Reader
    BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG File Reader
    Wave File Reader
    QuickTimeMovie File Reader
    TMPGEnc Project File Reader 2.58
    DirectShow Multimedia File Reader
    AVI VFW compatibility Reader

I looked around, but didn't see anything that would let me refresh or put all settings to default. Guess next time I'll write down the original settings if I plan on changing things.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thankyouverymuch

  2. 0,0,0,0,0,-1,-2 (in the order you asked). But you can always download another copy of TMPGEnc and look in there.

if you click on one of the plugins then right click there is an option to reset the plugins to their recommended settings.

I keep the directshow plugin "Unchecked" for frameserving because it causes problems reading the audio but occasionaly I put it on to read video files that use a directshow compression codec.

    All others are checked on.

    Hope this helps.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
