  1. I have read the guides, downloaded the templates, made coasters, made good files of varying quality, but I'm real interested in knowing what settings everyone is using out there?

Please post your settings that you are using to encode a vcd, svcd, or xvcd..

There are alot, and I mean alot of smart people in here, and i'm interested in their settings.

I am interested in TMPG settings, dont have any other programs like CCE..

  3. Okay, for argument sake I will give 2 source options..

One: High quality divx file, either divx 4 or 5 (in higher resolutions)
Two: Low quality divx (lower res like 320x240(like tv rips) and other mpegs that arent vcd ready yet (odd resloutions.)

  4. Personally, I use the KWAG (KVCDx2-352x480) template for just about everything. They are really great if your player can handle the odd GOP structure/framesize.

For low quality stuff, I use the same template, but do some filtering in vdub (temporal smooth, sharpen, color correct, etc) to make the video watchable.
