  1. Ok, heres an annoying problem that ive read about before but ive forgotten the answer to. when i use tmpeg to create an svcd, the video "jumps" a bit every few seconds (this is the best ive been able to do, for a long time the framerate was messed up...jumping video is muh better than before.) but how do i fix this?

  2. Most of the time it happens when you try to convert the framerate in TMPGEnc by loading a template for a different standard than your source file. Try choosing the correct template or convert the framerate before encoding to (S)VCD.

It could maybe be wrong field order. When changing to the wrong field order, the video is very jumpy and ugly. Try changing the field order and see what happens. :P

    Hope That Helps!!!

  5. What didn't work? Changing field order or the framerate?

  6. Both. No matter what I do nothing helps. The field order didnt change anything at all, and framerate settings only made it worse, not better. So i have all the settings im supposed to have.

What is your source framerate ( how fast is the .avi ) and what template are you attempting to use?

  9. If your source file is 23.976 fps and you chose NTSCFilm template then there should be no problem unless you live in PAL country (Europe/Asia) or you live in US and own PAL DVD player (not likely but possible ).
