Not sure where to post this, but I am a newbie so here is my question.
I have 60 minutes of DV on my camcorder. When I capture, my S/W separates into scenes based on various stop/starts. I want to take select scenes, and create a DVD where each scene is a separate chapter in my DVD menu.
I understand how to capture (AVI). Does each scene I want to become a chapter need to be its own avi file, or do I "cut" each scene during editing, then somehow create a chapter for each cut?
I have the following software, just not sure which does what:
Ulead Media Studio 6.5
Ulead DVD Workshop
Roxio VideoWave Movie Creator
Media Studio seems to be the best, but the learning curve is a bit steep for a newbie.
Thanks for any help. BTW, I have searched this site and read the guides, and cannot find the answers as of yet.

With DVD workshop i believe there is an option to create chapters by scene. No you dont need to chop your AVI file up to create the chapters.

Thanks I will try using DVD Workshop.
Do I still capture the entire 60 mins. of DV to AVI, if I only want certain scenes, (I want to put some scenes on one DVD and others on another DVD)? Then use DVD Workshop to figure out which scenes to use?
Also, I noticed that my S/W allows me to select any frame to become the thumbnail image for the chapter. Is it difficult to make chapters (within the menu) show a video segment of that chapter as opposed to a thumbnail image?
