somebody help me wif ma cd creater!

i cant burn anything anymore! everytime i open my cd creater or vcd creator, a screen pops out saying "easy cd creator engine initialization has failed: (could not inizialize the engine" if i ignore that screen n continue on selecting my choices to burn, when i click "record", another sign comes out saying "there are no surported cd-r available. ensure that your cd-r is powered on and that all cables are properly connected. you may also need to update easy cd creator to recognize your cd-r. to update easy cd creator select web-checkup from the internet menu" what's wrong? some1 help me!!!!
btw my easy cd creator is easy cd creator 5 platinum.

Sounds like it could be a problem with your burner, can you still see it in explorer, and can it still read cds
