I know VCD is 1150 Kbits/s. ATI MMC default direct VCD capture is 1.05 Mbits/s. But if I take 1024 and divide it into 1150 Kbits/s, I get 1.123 Mbit/s. Elsewhere I have read that VCD is 1.152Mbits/s. What should MMC actually be set to in Mbits/s ?

The K in Kbit/s and the M in Mbit/s is actually 1000 and 1000000 respectively (not 2^10 and 2^20). Why has this convention come up? Who knows...
So, in MBit/s for video, it should be 1.15 Mbit/s.
