Branded TDK is very much worth the price. However, beware of the so called unbranded TDK's. They are NOT TDK's and are basically junk.

Go to the first page of this board and do a search using the pricewatch page. TDK's are as low as $3.31 here.

  6. Try http://www.121cdr.co.uk or http://www.cd-rmedia.co.uk for sourcing media in the UK.

I have not used TDK because I have had very good results with other, cheaper media. For example, my writer / target DVD player combination really seems to favour the white topped 1x Choice Media DVD-R which you can currently get at the latter of the two addresses listed above.

But they do stock the TDK brand if you want to stick with those.

They are a pretty big store, I've bought from them before, check on international shipping.

No - uses a laser of a different wavelength. The authoring disks usually run 3 - 4 times the cost of a general disk.

  10. Also try http://www.bigpockets.co.uk

My local PCWorld also stock TDK DVD-R and RW media if you want to pay a pound or so more but get them the same day.

  11. wayne16,

I have burned about 20 of these TDK disks. They have worked on every single DVD player I've tested (except Playstation 2).

    I'm using Pioneer-104 as well.
