Subtitler Filter for TMPGEnc

Would it be possible to make a subtitler filter for TMPGEnc? How does one go about making a filter? Could some one just modify a virtualdub subtitler filter to work in TMPGenc?

Absolutely. Since you are an expert according to your title, you only need to write and .avs (AviSynth) script to use the subtitle filter in your video.

Then once you have primed AviSynth to run in your system, all you have to do is load your .avs script into TMPGEnc and run it.

This seems pretty simple, wonder why nobody has made it yet. As for my name, I am not really an expert at all. I would be willing to help anyone who is willing to make such a filter. It would really be nice to just encode from tmpge, rather than vdub frameserving or flask frameserving.

Actually, let me tell you a secret. If you have Vobsub up and running on your system, a subtitle file that s the same name as your movie file (in one of the common formats like sub or srt) and run an encoding on the avi file, TMPGEnc will add the subtitles automatically
