I have an AVI file that is ready to be processed using DVD2SVCD. I have encoded it before and noticed that the first few seconds were cut off of the .mpg file that existed in the .avi file.
I poked around in DVD2SVCD and noticed a setting called "Movie Offset Seconds". This is set to 2 seconds by default and the program recommends keeping this > 0 to avoid sync problems. I presume that this explains my missing 2 seconds.
Is it necessary to keep this greater than 0? If so, How do I edit the file (probably using VirtualDub) to insert 2 seconds of blank space at the start of the .avi file?
I am interested in keeping the resultant SVCD as portable as possible, so I want to make sure that it plays on both my standalone DVD player and others.
TIA
