  1. Hi guys!

This may be really simple to sort but I can't find info on this anywhere!

I want to backup certain DVDs that are too big for a DVD-R outright, but with the extras removed, would fit perfectly.
These extras are in seperate VOB files.

For example -- The Fly (1986) has:
VOB_01_xx ==> menu and main movie (want to keep)
VOB_02_xx ==> all extras (want to get rid of these)

Now anyway I try to do this, I get errors reported by PrimoDVD/Nero when I try to burn -- it basically checks the VIDEO_TS folder for compilation errors.
I've tried just simply moving the VOBs from the VIDEO_TS folder,
tried correcting VTS_Sectors in IFOEdit for the remaining IFOs,
tried placing 'dummy' files in there ....... nothing works

In all the many great guides that are out there (vcdhelp, doom etc), none of them explain this -- the one's that come close tell you how to split a particular IFO file ..... but I just want to get rid of some files!!

I'm fully versed in most tools, including IFOEdit/VOBrater etc, so feel free to get as complex as you wish!

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you rip in movie mode with Smartripper you will only get the movie,no extras. Strip the steams you don't want with Ifoedit,it will create the file you need to be burnable if it's then small enough burn it. You'll have just the movie,no extras.
