Hello all, Just finished ripping and encoding my 300th dvd to svcd using the following tools...

    1.) SmartRipper
    2.) DVD2AVI
    3.) TMPGEnc
    4.) Nero

One big problem that has me scratching not only my head, the damn audio is off sync with the video. This is the first time this has happened to me. I used all the proper templates and settings for NTSC, just like ive done so many times in the past. The audio and video maintain the same amount outta sync through out the whole picture. Also i always make a sample before i encode the whole movie and guess what..............the sample plays perfect.

    Please help..

btw..the dvd i am working with here is, "Swingers"

  2. some movies are just like that (i.e. 10 things i hate about you and usual suspects) at least for me anywayz...

since you said the audio is outta sync by the same amount throughout the movie, you can use the audio skew feature in the source range filter in tmpgenc. w/ audio skew, you can tell tmpgenc to start the audio earlier or later in milliseconds (ms)

Thanks for the reply...but it still seems strange that i can make a sample anywhere in the movie and end up with a perfect result.
