  1. i use tmpge to encode with seftys templates but for some reason after i encode, there is two hours of blackness after the movie is finished.ive tried changing the template i use but it still turns out the same.

    any one got any answers

    I downloaded that movie too. Sky at night, by Patrick Moor

    Anyway, you can stop TMPGEnc after a min and check the mpeg, so no need to wait until its finished. You can see what its doing in the little window it pops up.

    Also check the avi make sure its not curupt at the start.

    i tried to encode Down to Earth dvd rip with sefy's svcd pal template

    strange. Did you follow Sefy's guide ?
    Can you play the .vob files with a software dvd player?
    What did you use to watch the encoded MPEG?
