camcorder to divx

ok i wanna transter my camcorder videos into divx how would i do this thankx in advance and what programs will i need.

NANDub should do the trick. You should be able to find it in the Tools section, or at www.doom9.org. You'll also need the DIVX codecs installed ( www.divx.com ).

For the rest, just refer to the guides (see How To - Newbie to the left )

It's mirrored all over the internet. A quick search on Google should net you a list of sites that host the software for it. As another option, use the tools at the DivX site.

ok got it but my video wont decode the video is avi does it have to be vbr or cbr ? thankx in advance

Can you be more specific? What do you mean your video won't decode? Are you having problems loading it into NANDub? Are there any errors reported? etc...

ok i capture with scenalyzer live through my firewire card then i open nandub and i get some error saying something about some microsoft video driver and it wont open my avi file on nandub.

also under video should it show Divx? and should it say No AVI ?

do i have to put the divx codects on the nandub folder?

It sounds like your missing a Codec. Look at your scenalyzer documentation to see what's required to convert your file. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with scenalyzer at all.

As for the DIVX codecs, just install the DIVX package. It will place the codecs in the necessary locations for you. You do not have to manually place them anywhere.

You should try one of the Codec packages, like NEMO (see the tools sections on the left, and scroll towards the bottom). They install most of the codecs you'll need for you.

Try using MainConcept DigitalVideo (DV) Codec for Win32 v2.04
It is opening AVI files from DV using Virtual Dub.
