  1. I spent 5 hours yesterday changing the size from some vob files with tmpgnc. I converted them to a lower quality mped2 so i could burn them to dvdr. When i went to author them into dvdit, it said i need a proper decoder and to make sure one is installed. I figued that if i spent 5 hours converting this in tmpg, then i would be able to put it right into dvdit. Anyone have some idea what i did wrong or how to fix it ? Thanks

  2. First of all you need to have an mpeg-2 codec installed, so I suggest you install the PowereDVD demo if you don't already have DVD player software. If you have DVD player software (which I would expect) I have read that this trick soemtimes helps with this problem.

Open you mpg file in WMP and let it play a few seconds, hit Pause. Minimize but DO NOT CLOSE WMP. OPen DVDit and import your mpg file. Hopefully it will now be all OK.
