  1. I have been spending days trying to copy a 16X9 DVD to a DVD+R.
I use: Smartripper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc, and Maestro. All the settings are correct from what I have read from others. When I playback the final .vob file, it looks fine and is widescreen. When I use Nero 5.5.9.0 to burn the disk, it is stretched to fill the screen.
I have used all the "how to" guides here. I am starting to blame Nero since the .vob files look fine.
    PLEASE HELP!
    Thanks

ADDED NOTE: I found the post about changing the setting on DVD Maestro to "16X9 widescreen", but that made no difference.

jolly: when you burn what format are you using? DVDVideo or DVD UDF/ISO? I'm wondering cause this is like the 4th time lately I've seen this been asked.

Anyway if you read the other post on the main screen like yours I tell you how you can fix it by editing the ifo.

If you are having problems and using DVDVideo the I suggest trying UDF/ISO.

  4. I found out what the problem was. It was the 16X9 setting in Maestro. I still had it set for 4:3. Someone else had told me that this setting was not necessary, but obviously it is.
    Thanks!
