I have a Canopus DV Raptor (love it) that I am using to capture video from my Sony Digital-8 Camcorder...
I used AVI2VCD on my Celeron 600 w/128MB RAM, and it took 8 hours (!) to convert a half-hour of footage...
Is this normal? That's 1/16x real-time (which seems pretty freakin' slow to me!)
Then I burned it to a VCD using Nero 5.0.2.4 - I will see tomorrow at my local Circuit City which DVD players will play it (if any). I am most concerned about the menu.
Any thoughts to the fastest AVI encoder?
Muchas Gracias
