G4 with OS 10.2 freezing with video camera connected

Hi,

Can anyone please tell if they have similar problems with their Mac G4 running OS 10.2 freezing and unfreezing ever few seconds when they have a video camera (I have a Canon GL1) plugged in using Firewire. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Any help is very much appreciated...thanks in advance!

Do you have sleep mode turned on? iMovie has known problems with having both sleep mode on and trying to connect/capture video from a camera. When using iMovie, make sure you have everything turned off in energy saver, including spiining sown the hard disks. Hopefully this will fix your problem.
