    what is the difference between tmpgenc v2.58 and tmpgenc plus v2.58?

    well, for one thing, I believe there's no 30 day limit on MPEG2 like there is with the non-plus.

    the plus version still won`t open mpeg 2 files. is it worth the $48 or just stick with the free version?

    it will open mpeg2 files if you read the info about it -- as it requires specific codecs for mpeg2 -- but there are 3 to choose from (really 2 as the sony codec is only on the sonys ) ...
