  1. hi

im sure there is an answer to this somewhere on the forums but i cant seem to find it so sorry for the repetition.
    Q) i have a divx file downloaded from the internet and when i try to convert it to a mpeg file using tmpg it states that the file is going to be bigger than 3000mb. i must be doing something wrong as i thought i could get movies on about 2xcds. the file is divx3 encoded and the audio is mp3 lame encoded.??

    any help would be appreciated.

  4. Does the divx have variable bit rate audio. Open the file in virtualdub and see if you get a warning about VBR audio if so follow this guide.

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm

Assuming you hav'nt upped the bitrate, or you don't have a 300 minute video, this could account for the problem you are getting.
